Job Opportunities at Bernic Security
The award of the Approved Contractor Status from The SIA has lifted Bernic Security out of the confused brawl of security firms bidding for jobs, where price seems to be the main factor. Now we are “ACS”, the opportunities for “better” jobs increase – and so do the job prospects of our employees!
We are looking to double our guarding workforce over the next few weeks, as successful tenders come in and we start new jobs.
This of course means we will have Supervisory positions to fill, to supervise the increased number of guards. The guards' positions themselves will be more varied - there will be more opportunity to specialise in the differing disciplines – such as Retail, Alarm Response, CCTV (in Public Space),- as well as working on licensed premises, (not just licensed for alcohol, but any place/event licensed by the local Council!) - as a Door Supervisor.
Other growth opportunities that exist are in the Parking Control arm of the business. This can involve vehicle immobilisation, (clamping!), or issuing Civil Parking Tickets - an area where we see huge potential – this is a labour intensive activity and many more operatives (and Supervisors) will be needed. We also have plans to enter the Close Protection market, with spin-off activities such as secure transport and asset guarding.
Our Legal Serving side is another opportunistic area where we serve papers for solicitors, and provide witness statement guidance, and even witness protection for high profile cases!
Last but not least, comes Training. We can see an explosion in our Training Dept, as we will continue to provide the best trained workers in the industry - obviously this will inevitably lead to an increase in the number of people employed in training, both front line and admin.
